A translucent perspex notice listing the bell codes for auto-coach operation (push-pull trains powered by a steam locomotive).This notice was mounted in the driving end of an auto-coach, and the bell was used by the driver to communicate with the fireman in the locos cab.Many railway companies operated auto-coaches, and the origin of this notice is not known. It was removed from a scrapped carriage in the 1960s.Dimensions: 5 x 5.Condition: Very good used condition; just a few small marks on the face and around the four screwholes – as photos.
