A pair of framed original enamel plates which I believe were displayed as posterboard headers at GWR stations to advertise pleasure boat times on the nearby Thames eg Marlow, Henley, Reading etc. I would imagine they date from around the 1920’s. Nicely framed in chocolate and cream colours. A very displayable size of approx. 68cm by 9cm – the left hand enamel plate measures 29cm by 2cm and the right hand one measures 28cm by 2.2cm – in good sound original condition. Obviously if you feel I have described them incorrectly in any way do please let me know although I would imagine their purpose as stated is very plausible. UK mainland bidders only please. Cash on collection from Chelmsford most welcome. Hermes 2/3 days signed for delivery 7.80. Many thanks for looking.
