Here’s another listing by Lone Star Trains and Collectibles, Your Classic Era Train Headquarters! You are bidding on a VINTAGE ORIGINAL patent for an AIR BRAKE for steam locomotives. This one was filed by C.A. Campbell of Watertown, New York, an assignor of the New York Air brake Company of New Jersey. This is an original patent application that was rescued from dumpsters in Washington DC when the patent office went digital. This one has the word Examiner stamped upper right corner. The word Cross reference is stamped in the upper middle, and 92-153 is stamoed upper left. The front page has two small edge tears (about 1/3″). This was an official document and is printed on a soft thick card-stock type paper. As you can see, it has some yellowing and soiling from handling, but it is in mostly good shape. Features: Filed January 6, 1936 Patented June 15, 1937 Patent number 2,083,686 Four Pages total consisting of the illustrations and the text One page of the really cool drawings–art quality! Would look great in a train room. There are two pages of the written patent description One blank Measures 11″ x 7 1/2″ The design is to provide an improved air brake.
