New Listing! Union Pacific “Big Boy” (4-8-8-4) 4014 and 4-8-4 844 are doubleheading the 150th Anniversary Golden Spike Special, which is running from Cheyenne, WY to Ogden, UT over a span of several days in May 2019 July 23, 1992. This is the debut passenger run of Big Boy 4014 following a five year restoration by Union Pacific following reacquisition in 2014. History is being made!
This scene shows the doubleheader approaching Laraamie, WY on May 4, 2019. There will be a lengthy servicing stop here. 4014 will lbe the lead locomotive for the entire trip. (1 of 2.)
