Original slide for sale. Virgin Cross-Country 4-car Super Voyager 221116 approaches the north end of Tyne Yard Saturday 27/7/2002 with a Newcastle-Bristol working. This was the first use of a Voyager on this particular service. The previous week, 47805 had been in charge of the same service and – as far as I know – had been the final VXC loco-hauled train out of Newcastle. My reference 6231.
