PONTYPOOL ROAD STEAM RAILWAY Loco; 3861
Seen at Chalford, Glos, 25th June 1962
During 1963 there were 65 locos allocated to PPRD 86G, and yet within 2 years that was reduced to just 22.
We have through a series of photos tried to capture most of those allocated locos, in or around Pontypool. (Like this one, further afield)
On the date of this photo this loco may not have been allocated, but it was in 1963, so loco spotters in Pontypool in 1963 will certainly remember it.
