I am neither a book or railway expert. This item is from a huge collection of old rail, train, trolley, and other railroad related books and literature. Many more will be listed in the near future so please watch for new listings.
Media mail is an option for shipping but I discourage it due to lost packages and damages. I will ship media mail if you request it, but prefer Priority Mail. I do not try to make a profit on shipping, just cover packaging costs. If the item meets the weight minimum for First Class, that is what is used and is flat rate. Combined shipping is always available! Just make your purchases and wait for an invoice. You can choose your shipping option at checkout if it is too heavy for First Class.
