RAILWAY HISTORY MAP of GREAT BRITAIN – very large coloured map – fold-out.
This very large fold-out map for the Great Britain shows all of the rail routes in the post-grouping period 1923 – 1948. This huge map has 20 sections when folded, but measures 30″ by 100″ when unfolded – it would make an excellent wall poster. Different colours show the lines owned by the Big Four Companies of the period.
The border is decorated with badges of some of the constituent Railway Companies, and historic locomotives. The whole map is a very attractive item. It was published by mapmakers Bartholomews.The map is printed in colour on good quality paper and makes a great souvenir of rail services in the past.I acquired this map as part of my transport map collection, but, regretfully, I’m having to thin out my collections. The map is as new and has been carefully stored.The Map will be packed in a card-backed envelope and posted first class to ensure it spends as little time in the post as possible.As I’ve several more Bus & Rail maps and models and quite a few other transport-related items coming up at the moment you might like to see my other items.
