***FOR SALE***Railway Lantern from 1960’sBy Hird-Brown Limited of Bolton.
Item is complete and fully original with battery. Finished in stainless steel. On/Off facility is by thumb turn. Switches for main lamp and alternating green and red lamp.
In good condition for age. Some surface staining to stainless steel. Some oxidisation to the internal terminals. Some corrosion to the rubbers around the switches. Complete with battery however battery is not holding any charge. Original bulbs in tact as are the glasses.
I have had this since new and was given it by my neighbour who worked for British Rail in Scotland. It has been unused in a cupboard in the hours for the last 40 odd years. The battery was working back then, but sadly no longer. I have tried charging it but with no success. I have not been able to check the electrics and lights, but other than the oxidisation, it all appears in tack.

The item measures 25cm high including handle, 10.5cm deep including handle, and 7cm wide. Weight is 2kg including battery.
