Here for auction is a used a British Rail / British Railways used level crossing motorists flasher warning board (wig-wag).The lights are NOT LED and, until decommissioned from the level crossing, had been working, however to get these flashing will require a relay of some sort – this is something that the buyer would need to arrange.This sign was only removed from a railway level crossing due to the sign being replaced /upgraded to modern energy efficient LED lights. The sign for auction (please see images as what you see will be what you will receive) has 2 red lamps and 1 amber lamp each with plastic shrouds – two of which are loose and require replacing behind the steel brackets already in situ on the lamps.There is a steel girder support to the rear of aluminium faced sign, please see pictures
Approximate sign measures as follows;* 54 inches wide* 36 inches tall* Approximately 24 inches deepEach lamp diameter is approx. 9 inches.
Please note that this was originally installed in British Rail days and has had separate red and white reflective plates added to the edges of the sign to comply with the then updated regulations. These reflective panels can easily be removed to bring the sign back to original specification if thee buyer prefers.This will suit any garden railway or any railway themed room
Due to the size and weight of this sign this is a collection in person only and will require two people to comfortably manoeuvre the sign (seller will give assistance on collection). Strictly NO couriers. This is far too heavy for the postman to deliver !Please double check the measurements when considering arranging a suitable vehicle to transport this sign – although please note that this sign will fit in the back of a landrover or similar panel van etc.Any questions please ask before the listing ends.Please make contact within 48 hours of the auction ending to arrange a mutually convenient time / date for collection – cash on pickup is also an option.
