Unissued Colour-Rail 35mm Slide NC5066 BR ex-GWR 4-6-0 Castle Class loco 5066 ‘Wardour Castle’ .. Bath Spa 1950
Slides starting ‘NC’ have not been issued commercially, so far as I know. The information shown has usually come from what has been written on the slide frame, plus any additional research. If you have further information please let me know.
Thanks to Patriarch53 for this additional information Ron White who started Colour-rail in the late 70’s would often make up orders for specific individuals, he called these ‘Specials’. As such the slides never made the Colour-Rail catalogue. In addition he used to do slide shows all over the country & ask the audience if they thought they were good enough for the catalogue!
The slides come with Ron White’s notations on the surround, giving details of the loco, location & date ..The is no Colour-Rail official catalogue number ..I have noticed however that some of the images feature on the new Colour-rail website. But these can only be purchased as a download or print. There are no details of the SLIDE ever having been issued
