For sale :- Ex British Railways / (NER ?/ LNER ?) era telegraph pole top spindle bracket, rain shroud, and the short remains of the top of the telegraph pole.
This is in used / pre-owned condition
All components will show signs of oxidation, deterioration, rot, rust, moss, holes in the galvanised shroud and saw marks on the remains of the telegraph pole which has been exposed to the elements and finally lain in contact with the ground for some time.
This was once a common sight by the side of railway lines.
Insulator shown in the image is to demonstrate how the insulator was affixed to the top of the pole – it is not included in the sale but insulators are readily available on ebay
