BRENT to AVONWICK train ticket, No: 2456 – issued 26th Aug 1963. Brent, is actually South Brent, the first station on the ‘Primrose Line’ to Kingsbridge. We have had this since 1973, when an ex-guard sold/gave us some tickets from his time on the system in the 1960’s. By 16th September (within 3 weeks of issue) of that year the station was closed for good. We have seen a few of these tickets, normally using up old GWR stock or BR, but this one has ‘British Transport Commission and BR’. Many thanks for looking!
