Hello, and welcome to our auction for this fabulous and rare 1894 Railway Poster* We are listing a large collection of original late Victorian posters from the original printers. Please see our other auctions * The poster is printed in black ink on a pale yellow cream paper, size of which is approx 40 inches x 25 inches.Published by Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway to publiciseP. Leroy & Cos Licensed Victuallers Trip on Wednesday night, September 26thPrinted by Chas. Sever, Printer, Lithographer, Long Millgate, Manchester.Considering its age, this poster is in remarkable condition. Its the printers proof copy (we have several more on offer in different auctions – and all were printed 1894)The poster has been folded, and there are very little signs of wear. The left hand edge of the poster is a little ruffled, with some slight ageing across the fold lines of the paper.There are a few small holes which are really only visible when looking at the back of the poster.There are written printers notes to the right hand side of the back of the poster, dated 1884.This poster would look absolutely amazing in a nice frame- what a great gift idea for Christmas! The poster will be be sent flat, as this how it has been stored.Please message any questions.We will wrap and pack all items professionally and all goods will be sent signed for delivery with insurance and sent within 3 days of cleared payment.
