In unrestored condition this is a metal intercom unit with rubber mouthpiece.
I am not aware of the specific type of vehicle it came from but similar devices were used for inter-cab comms on Diesel Engines/DMU/EMU/London Underground vehicles constructed about the 1950/60s.
Unit is marked ‘Loudaphone CLIFFORD & SNELL Ltd. SUTTON SURREY TYPE (appears to be) 1010/70 NO 2796’
Separate label shows ‘TYPE 1015/110’* also unclear see photos.
