A rare and early example of a paper Underground map designed for the visitor to Londonby E.G. Perman with his signature and dated 1927.
Issued (see minute date after printer) 12/1928
Map side is very beautiful, decorative, calligraphic (after Macdonald Gill) and geographic (after Stingemore)
Cover side has a wide range of information for the visitor including panels for historic buildings, museums, hotels, markets, theatres, concert halls, hospitals, sports venues first and last trains and main line connections
Approx dimensions 14.5 inch x 17.5 inch (37 x 45cms)
Condition: This item is not new, it is in used condition. Generally hinges are strong. No writing on map. One or two very minor tears and very small split/crease on left side (see scans). Some feint foxing to both sides, mainly around hinges (please see scans). Some residual grubbiness to outer folds and cover. Map colours strong and not faded. Overall and in very good/near fine condition.
