A beautifully presented RTR 00 gauge BR/SR Class 422 4BIG 4 car electric multiple unit. This amazing and very rare model has been completely scratch built by a professional modeller, and is complete with full glazing, full interiors, all exterior detailing, full under frame equipment, and fully detailed cab ends. Also this unit is fully motorised, and the two motor power bogies are even placed on the brake van carriage so that this model really is authentic.
This beautiful model comes in its original as introduced 1960s BR/SR Green livery, complete with the small yellow warning panels on each cab front. Also youll see the unit has its own unique number (7031) on the cab fronts. 7031 was the very first 4BIG unit, from the first batch, that was introduced for the brighton mainline express services back in the 1960s.
The route destination number panel on the cab fronts have been left as blank, so you can add your own route destination number of your choice, and the destination panels are finished black as they really were. Youll see that each carriage comes with a lovely southern railway green colour coded protective storage box, to keep it all with that southern railway green theme.
This model is completely brand new, unused, and is a complete replica down to the last detail. It cannot be found anywhere on the market. As can be seen, there has been an incredible amount of time, hard work and passion that has been put into this really sweet and lovely model. Unfortunately i havent the layout to be able to run this lovely model, and am really sad at having to sell. Since i have had this model, it has only been out of the box just the once for its photo shoot!! It has been fully tested by the modeller and all checked over throughout too, to make sure everything is all working and perfect. This model is a real one off and definitely definitely will be a perfect addition to your Southern Railway 60s themed layout.
