Listed today is an early NSW Government Railways workers signal lamp.
It has the initials embossed on the back for NSWGR. Most likely made around the 1940s-1950s.
The lamp measures 34cm high by 18cm wide.
Looks to be in good overall condition for something that would have been used on the railways.
The original glass lens is intact and there is still a globe inside, but I haven’t tested to see if it lights up.
Rare item for Australian railway collectors!
Will post anywhere with great care taken to package well. It can also be picked up from St. Albans Park near Geelong.
