Provenance: My great-grandfather William Bartlett (1849-1933) was an engine driver for London & South Western Railway. The two news clipping about him (copies to be included with lot) give details about his life and career. We believe he either worked as an engine cleaner or fireman on the engine shown in the photo.
The original photo was reproduced using modern methods and is also included in the lot.
