Bodyside builder’s Plate from SNCF loco BB16649, entered service 3rd January 1962, withdrawn 17th December 2007 from Lens.

Originally a class of 294 mixed traffic locos once prolific on suburban passenger services around Paris, Lille & Strasbourg but also used on freight. BB16649 was one of 6 class members to later carry the green FRET livery. The last of the class were withdrawn in 2011.

The rear of the plate carries the original blue/green livery in which the loco was delivered and the loco number which I believe was stamped in these plates at manufacture.

Dimensions are 22cm x 15cm. No bends, cracks or other damage.
