2 X unissued Blockmen’s tickets from the Snowdon Mountain Railway, in Llanberis, North Wales. Both are for the Snowdon Summit to Clogwyn section, and date from the 1960s/1970s. The larger one is the earlier of the two. These were used for safe operation of the single-line sections between each passing place at Hebron, Halfway & Clogwyn, as well as Llanberis and the Summit. A train could not proceed without a ticket for the relevant section. Tickets were issued to the Guard of each train by the Blockmen stationed at the passing places, and by the Traffic Controller at Llanberis, and the Summit Stationmaster.
The smaller one measures 112mm X 74mm, the larger is 185mm X 88mm. All sizes are approximate. Both have blank backs, and are in excellent condition.
Serial numbers will differ from those illustrated, unless you are the first purchaser.
