Framed pictureSt Clair Electric Loco 305These locos were built in 1907/8 by Westinghouse and Baldwin to replace steam. There were concerns about crew suffocation if a steam train stalled inside the tunnel !!Originally numbered 1305 and then renumbered 305 in 1949 this loco was the first of the batch which remained in service throught to 1958.This smart picture is from the remains of a childrens book from the 1960’s.Framed in a 25 x 20 cm, (10 x 8 inch) size clipframe.
