LOCATION: Staveley Works,Derbyshire
DATE: Undated most likely late 1950s or 1961-3
SUBJECT: A atmospheric photograph of a ex-LMS Deeley ‘0F’ Class at Staveley Works seen here working a short rake of loaded coal wagons across the girder bridge over Works Road.
Though the specific locomotive is not immediately identifiable, it could only have been either 41529 or 41531, both of which served Staveley Works from their allocation at nearby Barrow Hill shed. These locomotives, originally built in 1907 for the MR, were withdrawn from service by BR in 1961 and 1963 respectively.
CONDITION: Excellent clean and unmarked. Always kept in analbum.
