This switch lock was made for the Texas-Pacific Railroad by Slaymaker from Lancaster, PA in 1955. The lock is stamped “1955” and the key is stamped “T&P” with “S” after that. The lock has a nice patina from use and works great with the key.

The Texas & Pacific operated from 1871 until 1976 when it was merged with the Missouri Pacific which was then purchased in 1980 by the Union Pacific.
