Vintage GWR Railway Metal Pay Cheques x 3 Each quaint little semi-circular shaped metal disc measures approx. 3.5cm x 2.7cm. Each individual disc displays the embossed lettering: G.W.R PAY CHEQUE along with one of the following numbers: 156, 158, 159 (Railway pay cheques were metallic tokens used to ensure appropriate payment to the correctly identified railway employee.) These lovely items display typical wear for their age but remain free from cracks. (Please see images for an indication of the condition of these three discs.)
