An original 1950s tangerine British Railways (North Eastern Region) gilt cap badge, made and marked by J R Gaunt. Around 50 years old, it is in excellent, UNUSED condition with rectangular lugs on rear and complete with brass clips. The badge is no longer in use by the transportation industry and does not resemble any piece of the railways current items. This was purchased via the Rail Curios shop at York station in the 1960s, surviving from the railway stores. Postage is for 2nd class delivery.
