This is a nice piece of London North East Railway memorabilia . It is a saucer produced by TUSCAN CHINA of England .It is stamped PLANT and in Black lettering has the words L.N.E.R. G.E. Bevington Ltd ,24 Holborn EC1 The actual mark / stamp may differ slightly.
This dates to circa 1930. This lovely ceramic is decorated with a Gold and Black Greek Key Pattern around the edge . This is in great condition with no chips , cracks , crazing or restoration . There is minor wear to the applied gold gilding . The piece measures 141 mm across its diameter and the diameter of the raised circle where the cup sits is 55mm . (I point this out , as I have 3 different sized saucers.I have other pieces from this dinner and tea service , please take a look .
