This is an original vintage rules book for the operating department of the Santa Fe Railroad for 1948. This rule book measures 6″ X 4″ and is 1/2″ thick. It has a leather-type cover and has 199 pages of information for the operation of trains including hand and lantern signals, horn signals, train equipment, and first aid just to name a few (see index in pictures). The book is in good condition as shown. There is a crack in the binding on the inside cover. I see no tears or missing pages and no one has written in that I saw. Ebaysshipping calculators are not always accurate as well as we have seen where Ebayhas sometimes inflated the shipping in the listing for the weight we enter. If you think that might be the case, we willeagerly give you a direct quote upon knowing your zip code. We do feel, however, that quality packagingis more important than saving a few pennies. Please also understand that boxes, packing materials, tape, etc. doescost money as well. Check our feedback we get great reviews on our pride in packaging. Items sold to customers in Nebraska are subject to 7% sales tax as wellas other states who have out-state sales tax requirements.Note: If you have a problem with anything (productquality, packaging, etc.) please contact us and allow us to correct theproblem. Damagedpackaging during shipment If the package and/or item is damaged or lostduring shipment, it is the buyers responsibility to file a claim with theshipping company. As stated earlier, it isthe buyers responsibility to add insurance to the transaction. Some shipments include automatic insurance upto a certain value but others do not. International shipping: We utilize the international shipping service through Ebay. Ebay, however, does not support this programfor some countries and, thus, we do not either.
