Please find for Buy it Now or Best Offer a rare find from the late 1970’s, early 1980’s from the BR intercity days. The Jacket & Cap would have been worn by the sleeper car attendant and has been stored away for a number of years in safe dry storage. The item was sent to Euston Station for the attendant by the name of Hood by the manufacturers, Grantham. Both the jacket & cap are in excellent condition as can be clearly seen in the attached photos taken. I purchased a job lot of railway items at a recent Railwayana auction and these items were among the many within the wicker basket. I have kept those items I was interested in for my own Railwayana collection but these are surplus to requirements. Measurements for the jacket are clearly visible on the jacket and the cap measures just over 21″ which I’m told is a size 6 5/8. If you need any further measurements then please let me know. Southern Railway Publicity, srpublicity.co.uk has two intercity sleeper leaflets showing the exact uniform worn by the attendant at that time on their website. A must for an intercity or railwayana enthusiast/collector.The postage costs quoted covers your item for loss/damage up to the value of 20 for both UK & International buyers.
