A vintage enamelled bronze/brass? lapel badge featuring a CORONATION SCOT locomotive in LMS colours.

 

 

A 1937 London Midland and Scottish Coronation Class locomotive that ran the first journey [a pre-service Press run] from Euston,London,England to Glasgow Central,Scotland achieved a speed at one point en-route of 114 miles per hour.

 

 

The badge maker is named as H.W.Miller Ltd.,Birmingham on the reverse with a naming style used during the period 1935-1958.The Coronation Scot service lasted 3 years until 1939 when it ceased to operate with the advent of World War Two. 

 

 

A collectable badge for the railwayana enthusiast.
