A quite delightful surviving example of a Vintage GWR Great Western Railway Ledger containing details of Clothing issued to staff alongside Uniform Misfits/returns.Covering the years 1942-1956. From front inwards it would appear to show provisioning of clothing/boots etc TO STAFF AT STATIONS ALONG THE LINE. From the back inwards it would appear to show any misfit returns.Also includes so many items of paper ephemera, invoices, orders, suppliers details. Some lovely headed paper from great old British suppliers, of CLOGS, MACINTOSH, RUBBER leggings, etc etc.Could split to provide many people with an opportunity to acquire individual pages but it just feels like it should all stay together.Condition – see pics. Super repair to outer covers.Approx 13×8.
