Item:
Vintage, Lion Brand, double open ended spanner, 3/4W 7/8W, (7/8BSF, 1BSF).
It has been marked with the initials ‘BR(S)’ which seems to indicate that it is a British Rail (Southern) spanner.
The wooden rule is only used for scale and is not included.
Condition:
Restored, fair It has no major signs of wear and tear (hammer rash, general abuse etc). But it does have two large holes drilled into it, presumably for wall mounting. It also has two markings on it: CCE, and BR(S).
It has been thoroughly cleaned with a bench grinder wire brush. It has also been waxed and polished to a high sheen.
