I am offering for sale my genuine vintageBakerloo Line London Underground carriage map.A period London Transport Tube carriage map from around 1980, which would have been placed inside the tube train carriage. A rare survivor.This was never used, and retains it’s original backing.Made of of a resilient plastic coated paper, which originally had a sticky back to affix it within the carriage. That adhesive has dried out over the last forty years, and the backing should now be removed and the map which has become sightly corrugated, flattened prior to being displayed.The map has the London Underground stock code printed upon it in the RH corner, which is not to be mistaken as a date code. London Transport first introduced fare zones on October 1981, and since those zones are not shown, the map must therefor pre-date that date.However the stations and connections shown upon the map, will provide you a good indication to it’s age.Would look superb and be more valuable mounted on board, but it then becomes too large for me to courier in that form. Measures six inches by fifty four inches. I would please ask that you fully satisfy yourself that the description of the item, and the condition, fully meets your expectation before bidding. I try to be as concise as I can within the description, but this is my personal view, and since you are likely to have more expertise on this type of item, you may have a differing perspective or requirements.
