This is a neat old 1-3/4″ high brass shield shaped employee badge or tool check tag marked PSC for the PULLMAN STANDARD CO — it is numbered “135”. This tag originated in PA and was associated with the PULLMAN plant in Butler PA. Pullman, a maker of rail cars, was created circa 1930 when Pullman Car & Manufacturing merged with Standard Steel Car Co. to form the Pullman-Standard. Pullman-Standard remained in the rail car manufacturing business until 1982. The Butler PA plant originated as STANDARD STEEL CAR CO
