Lovely, collectable booklets one from 1950 one from (I think) the 1970s. Both with lovely illustrations and photos. The first booklet isn’t actually railways memorabilia but is most interesting, being about an about an unknown (then) corner of Devon, hence the title. It dates from well before Beeching butchered our rural railways. The opening paragraph is fascinating –

“…take any general railway map of England, such as Bradshaw or ABC and try, with a compass to draw the largest circle without crossing a railway line, you will, after many trials, fix its centre at Hartland Point, North Devon”

The second pamphlet is about railways in the North East of England hence ‘between Wear & Tyne’.

Some obvious age related marks and some rusting effects on the Devon booklet from the staples, but in general, the pages are clean and tidy. Photos are of the actual items you will receive. Thank you for your interest.
