This collection of antique train photographs include 15 black & white images from two trips. All photos are captioned with information, including dates, locomotive and track numbers, landmark locations, etc. The photos measure 3 1/8″ x 4 1/2″ (actual image size is approximately 2 11/16″ x 4″). The images are mounted onto the front and back of two photo album pages, but are held in place by photo corners and can be safely removed for scanning, framing, etc. The first page/set is labeled, “June 6 ’37, Boston & Maine Trips to Concord, NH via Wilmington Jet and Billerica Shops”, featuring some pretty nice images of B&M locomotives numbered 2704, 3706, 3715, and 3719 (the 3715 and 3719 must have been brand spanking new when these photos were taken. There are also two photos of the number 64, which was on exhibition in the Concord Engine House. The second page/set is labeled, “June 27, 1937, Bridgton & Harrison RR, Bridgton & Saco [River] RR”, photos taken from a passenger car at the Bridgton Jet yard in Maine, featuring images of train cars, buildings and the engine house & turntable.
