Vintage SOUVENIR TICKET from a trip on Durango /Silverton railroad in Colorado. Part of the old Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Company, this narrow gauge railroad has been providing a scenic route for passengers since 1882. Yellow paper ticket, printed on safety paper and numbered, measures 2-3/4″ x 5-3/16″ and is stamped for a trip on September 4, 1960 (seat 312). It is also stamped on the back, August 11, 1960, presumably the date the ticket was mailed to the recipient. There is also a small pale yellow ticket of card stock with the Conductor’s Ticket (A.F. Lyons) and a punched “L”. This ticket measures 3-3/4″ x 1-1/4″ and has an illustration of the train on one side. Both items in very nice condition with no damage. Will be mailed with plenty of cardboard to prevent damage.
